Founder story
Founded by Kenny McCauley in 2009.
McCauley Wood Fuels was founded by Kenny McCauley in 2009 as a farm diversification project rooted in forestry, engineering and renewable heat.
A mechanical engineer by training, Kenny has worked across energy, utilities, biomass consulting, renewable heat design and industrial heat projects before returning full-time to develop McCauley Wood Fuels as a specialist commercial biomass fuel supplier.
As a Nuffield Ireland Scholar, his wider research focuses on forestry, renewable heat, indigenous biomass and the future role of Irish wood fibre in the bioeconomy.
